West Side Highway Overlay Phase IB

Project Limits: Mileposts 2.69 to 4.23

Federal Classification: Rural Major Collector (07) 

Project Description: Grind and resurface deteriorating pavement surfaces on West Side Highway. Widen shoulders where feasible.

Basis for Project: Pavement on this segment of West Side Highway is rutted and deteriorating. Improvements will increase overall safety.

Funding: Project funding includes $250,000 State grants and $734,000 County funds for a total of $984,000.

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2014.

Butte Hill Road Improvements
 Project Limits: Mileposts 1.96 to 2.84

Federal Classification: Rural Local Access (09) 

Project Description: Provided chipseal treatment to recently reconstructed section of Butte Hill Road.

Basis for Project: In 2013, the identified section of Butte Hill Road was reconstructed to improve sight distance on existing horizontal and vertical alignment.

Funding: Project funding is provided by $40,000 of County funds.

Schedule: Construction is expected to occur in 2014.
