If you test positive for COVID-19 or develop COVID-19 symptoms, you will need to isolate. Isolating means staying home and away from others, except to seek medical care, because you are considered contagious.
Whether or not you are vaccinated, if you test positive for COVID-19 or have COVID-19 symptoms:
• Isolate at home for 5 days, preferably in a separate room if you live with people.
• If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
• Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
+ If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.
